 Pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 we write to inform you that asat the close of its business on 8th January 2007, UBS AG, acting through itsbusiness group and legal entities detailed below, had an interest in 1,451,476Ordinary shares of GTL Resources PLC representing 6.39 per cent of the issuedshare capital of the Company (22,702,745).

 

None of the Relevant Shares are shares in which UBS AG is interested by virtueof Section 208(5) of The Act.
